Patricia Thompson was born to the late Booker T. and Lessie B. Young of Dayton, Ohio. She is the youngest of 10 siblings.  Patricia is the proud mother of three wonderful children Austin, Courtney, and Camille.  She graduated from Patterson Cooperative High School and matriculated through Central State University with a B.S in Computer Science with a Master of Public Administration from Central Michigan University.  She received her Honorary Doctorate Degree from the School of the Great Commission Theological Seminary.  She is a Christian Leader, speaker, mentor, and advocate and is excited to serve the community.

Patricia Thompson has a non -profit organization called Nu Way Learning System, it is a Workforce Development and Apprenticeship Program offering STEM/STEAM career training and certifications for Youth and Young Adults. She was the creator and host of “Ignite into Your Purpose Television Show” on Preach the Word Television Network. The Show was designed to help us realize and embrace God’s unique purpose in our lives and the process God has taken us through to achieve our destiny.  After so many positive reviews from the viewers of the show, she was asked to produce a sequel called “Arise! The answer is you” with GCMNETWork.  As a result, she was featured in the Gamechangers magazine for her exemplary work during her career and serving in the Atlanta Metropolitan community.

      Patricia’s career consists of working over 25 years with the federal government, and she has worked in several capacities in the private industry and as a consultant.  Her previous work experience includes Wireless Telecom Project Engineer, Statistical Analyst, Information Technology Administrator, C-130 Aircraft Industrial Specialist, Workforce Development Manager, Global Strategic Management Consultant, Housing and Urban Development Technical Assistant Consultant – Welfare to Work Program for Women as well as an Adjunct Professor for Embry Riddle University.   She is currently a Senior Aviation Project/Program Manager for a Government Contracting company.

     Patricia’s responsibilities include Managing Aerospace Engineers to redesign Department of Defense Aircraft and to conduct strategic supply chain alignment and collaboration across product development.  Responsible for setting clear and compelling writing concepts for business development, strategic thinking to ensure we are within scope of the projects, develop proposals and maintains clear communication with our stakeholders while working multiple simultaneous projects valuing over 500 million dollars.

      She also provides strategic planning, cost, schedule, and contractual sourcing to procure and identify set of parts, materials, and suppliers. She is also responsible for the provisioning and visibility into supply chain risk information for compliance with USG supply policies, and USAF supply visibility. During her tenure in Washington, DC, Patricia had the opportunity to work as a consultant with the Economic Development team for Phillips Defense Management Company.

      Patricia has worked as a consultant with Phillips Aviation Group. She participated on the strategic planning team with the Somali Transitional Federal Government to assist with the economic redevelopment plans for the country of Somalia, Africa. She also participated in planning sessions with members of the Somali Transitional Federal Government, as well as meetings with presidential candidates competing in the August 2012 presidential election.

     As a youth and community advocate, she has served as a board member for several organizations including: Kairos International State Prison Advisory Board (Women’s Outside Ministry), State of Georgia Prison Re-Entry Program, Georgia Youth Build Coalition, North Fulton School district –Local School Advisory Committee, Hands on Atlanta Discovery Program for kids in failing school districts and Aerospace programs teaching children how to fly.

     She was an ordained into the ministry January of 2018. She is a motivational speaker, evangelist, Active participant of the Cursillo Christian movement for leaders, serve women and families in the homeless communities by providing food and shelter. She currently serves on the Homeowners Association Board.  Her previous commitments include Deaconess ministry for 25 years, Youth Advisor, missions, and Hands on Atlanta community wide programs for youth.
